Buy vitamin D3 + K2: 4,000 to 20,000 IU with 200 µg K2 MK-7
Every combination of vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 in our range, side by side. What they share is the K2: 200 µg menaquinone-7 (MK-7) per tablet. What differs is the D3 — 4,000 IU for daily intake, 5,000 IU every 5 days, 10,000 and 20,000 IU as a depot every 10 or 20 days respectively.
Vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 each carry their own authorised claims; both are listed below in their official wording. Whether the two need to be in one tablet or can be taken separately is a question of convenience, not of effect — what is documented on that is in the guide.
How the rules of thumb for the D3-to-K2 ratio came about, and what to make of them, is explained in the guide on the ratio.

How to take it: timing and amount
For vitamin D and vitamin K, these claims among others are authorised — they apply to every product on this page:
Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system.
Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones.
Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal muscle function.
Vitamin D contributes to normal absorption/utilisation of calcium and phosphorus.
Vitamin K contributes to normal blood clotting.
Vitamin K contributes to the maintenance of normal bones.
Authorised claims pursuant to Regulation (EU) No 432/2012.
Both vitamins are fat-soluble; the recommended intakes say to swallow the tablet whole with a meal. For depot strengths the interval in the recommended intake applies — 10,000 IU every 10 days, 20,000 IU every 20 days.
Anyone taking anticoagulant medicines (vitamin K antagonists) should seek medical advice before use: vitamin K contributes to normal blood clotting and can affect the action of such medicines.
What counts is always the recommended intake on the pack itself. The stated recommended daily intake must not be exceeded. Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Taking vitamin D3 + K2: timing, meals, fatFrequently asked questions about vitamin D3 + K2
Why vitamin D3 and K2 together?
Because both vitamins carry their own authorised claims on the maintenance of normal bones, and many customers take them together anyway. There is no evidence that vitamin D3 does not work without K2 — that is an oft-repeated assertion, not an authorised claim.
Vitamin D3 with K2: what is proven and what isn'tIs there a correct ratio of D3 to K2?
The frequently quoted rules of thumb — around 100 µg K2 per 10,000 IU D3, for instance — come not from any authorisation but from manufacturers' recommendations. Our combinations all contain 200 µg K2 per tablet, regardless of the D3 strength.
Vitamin D3 and K2: is there a correct ratio?MK-7 or MK-4 — which K2 is in there?
In every combination on this page, menaquinone-7 (MK-7). The forms differ in origin and half-life; what that means for intake is in the guide.
Vitamin K2: MK-7 or MK-4 — what the difference isVitamin D3 + K2 and blood thinners — is that possible?
Not without consultation. Vitamin K contributes to normal blood clotting and can affect the action of vitamin K antagonists such as phenprocoumon. Anyone taking such medicines should clear K2-containing products with their doctor or pharmacist first.
Vitamin D3 + K2 and blood thinners: the interactionWhen to take it, and with what?
With a meal that contains some fat — both vitamins are fat-soluble. The time of day plays no documented role; what matters more is the rhythm from the recommended intake, which for depot tablets means the interval of 10 or 20 days.
Taking vitamin D3 + K2: timing, meals, fatWhich strength is the right one?
The figure is per tablet, not per day: 4,000 IU is taken daily, 5,000 IU every 5 days, 10,000 and 20,000 IU every 10 or 20 days respectively — on average they all come to around 1,000 IU a day. What decides is the 25-OH-D level in the blood; this page cannot settle that.
